2024 - Year in review
As 2024 has come to an end, it's time to reflect on our second year as a startup. It's been a journey marked by both highs and lows, filled with invaluable lessons. Let's get into it!
Who We Are
We’re cloud-native specialists based in Zwolle, delivering advanced Kubernetes and cloud architecture solutions. Our expertise lies in building and managing cloud-native infrastructure (mainly based on Kubernetes), with a particular focus on complex, technology-intensive projects.
Our 2024 Milestones
This year marked significant growth and evolution for our team. Key highlights include:

Infrastructure and Operations
We currently manage 10+ Kubernetes clusters across various cloud providers including Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. Our infrastructure handles millions of requests monthly, maintaining high availability with only one notable incident 1.
Technical Achievements
- Enhanced our monitoring capabilities using Grafana Alloy and Incident.io
- Successfully adopted IaC (Infrastructure as Code) for all existing and new projects
- Adoption of Bazel for our build system, dramatically improving build times and developer experience
Open-Source
This year, we contributed to 10+ open-source projects on Github although our contributions were quite limited. We’re going to release more open-source projects related to BrainPod in the upcoming year.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Our vision for 2025 focuses on two primary objectives:
- Scaling Operations: We’re expanding our managed Kubernetes service to accommodate new clients while maintaining our high standards of service quality.
- Product Release: We’re continuing development of our cloud platform BrainPod, with exciting new features and an alpha release.
